Eight of the most vulnerable communities countrywide will soon benefit from high capacity drainage pumps, which will be procured from Indian engineering firm Surendra.
Agriculture Minister Robert Persaud following the contract signing today said this would significantly improve Guyana’s vulnerable drainage system as well as bolster government’s efforts to tackle the effects of climate change.

Thirty six year old minibus driver Jagdeo Ramnarine has died following an accident on the Strasphey Public Road, East Coast Demerara Ealier today. The incident is reported to have occurred around 7hrs shortly after Ramnarine left his lot 78, Non Pariel East Coast Demerara home.
