An appropriate date is being worked on for the commissioning of Guyana’s Olympic sized swimming pool located at Liliendaal on the East Coast of Demerara. The pool according to Sport Minister Dr. Frank Anthony is completed; however some minor adjustments are currently being worked.

Land filling work for the Guyana Karate College started.

Land filling works are being undertaken at the Caribbean’s first multipurpose karate facility at Lilliandaal. NCN sport was given an update on progress by public relations officer Wayne Orderson. The facility, the first of its kind in the Caribbean represents the largest investment of its type.
