Guyana saddened over death of President Chavez
The local political fraternity has reflected on the relations Guyana and Venezuela shared, in light of the passing of President Hugo Chavez.
President Donald Ramotar has said that the peoples of Guyana and Venezuela have benefited enormously from an enhanced programme of bilateral co-operation.
Meanwhile, Speaker of the National Assembly, Raphael Trotman reflected on the contributions of President Hugo Chavez to Guyana through diplomatic relations.
Similar sentiments were expressed by the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robeson Benn and Opposition Leader, David Granger.
