Mash bands “ready fi de road” as Mashramani nears
“We are ready for the road”…that’s what most of the large bands are saying, as the countdown begins to the grand Mashramani float parade.
Final touches are being done to the costumes for at least three large bands that will be on the road on Mash day.
This newscast visited the camps for the Health and Agriculture Ministries, the latter of which will be mashing with a 100 strong band, under the theme: “Celebrating a bounty harvest.”
The next stop was Meadow Brook, where designers were busy working on the GYSM’s costumes.
At Thomas Lands, the designer for the Carib Band spoke of what the costumes will be depicting. The final stop was at Kingston, where Digicel definitely had something to hide.
Public Relations Manager, Shonette Moore said the company would “come clean” on Saturday.
The mash route in Georgetown is currently being prepared.
Come Saturday, there will be a kaleidoscope of colours, as Guyanese celebrate the nation’s 43rd Republic anniversary, under the theme, “Reflecting creativity, embracing diversity.”
