Second batch certified under National Music School
The national music school has certified its second batch of musicians one year after its establishment.
Twenty-three students have been awarded certificates by the school after successfully completing the royal school of music examination, an internationally recognised documentation.
Minister of culture, youth and sport Dr. Frank Anthony says the ministry’s rationale in establishing the creative institutions is to teach the various art forms.
“Culture is becoming more important, it is not just about recreation, it is not just about an appreciation for culture that people get involved in culture, you can rarely develop a serious career, and we really believe that we should have institutions that can teach people and give them guidance in this direction,” Minister Anthony said.
He said this was the motivation that led to the establishment of the Art, Dance, Drama and Music School and they have been having great impact.
